While remaining flexible and adapting to the region's needs, we are staying true to the spirit of cross-boundry collaboration in this unprecedented time.
Here's what this means for CONNECT:
We strive to be more CONNECTed than ever during these turbulent times by utilizing technologies for remote work, particularly videoconferencing. We have been hosting regular trainings for those interested in using Zoom for public meetings. This includes helping members understand how to configure their settings in order to remain publicly accessible while preventing hacking. CONNECT's has created a quick Zoom guide for those who are brand new, compiled recommended settings for using Zoom to host a public meeting, and frequently hosts technology skill shares.
View our updated (but still tentative) calendar here. While we have postponed major events, all scheduled meetings have indefinitely been moved to Zoom.
Our top priority is supporting local governments and helping provide tools that they need to function remotely and maintain communications. We are collecting resources that we believe may be helpful to local leaders and their residents. Take me to the COVID-19 Resources page.
It also means that we have launched this new website early!
We decided that our website was too important of a tool to wait to use until it was completely finished. We hope our COVID-19 Resources page will be especially helpful to you in this time. Thank you for being patient with us as the rest of our site is temporarily incomplete.
